Nathan Seeley
Nathan Seeley, aged 78 years, died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. H. H.
Denny, 105 Jefferson Street,
at 8:40 this morning, following a
long illness. Mr. Seeley was a member of the G. A. R. having enlisted in the
union forces when he was only 17 years of age. He has been a devoted and active
member of the First Christian Church since he came to Pomona
in 1903. He is survived by three children and seven grandchildren. The children
are Mrs. H. H. Denny, of Pomona, Mrs. Mary Evans, of Glendale, Calif.; and Mrs.
E. E. Eckman, of Long Beach, Calif.
Funeral services will be held at the funeral parlors of Todd & Reeves
tomorrow at 4:30pm Rev. C. R. Hadson, former pastor
of the First Baptist church here and close friend of the deceased will deliver
the funeral address. Burial will be in Pomona
Cemetery beside the grave of Mr.
Seeley's wife who died here in 1921. Services at the grave of
