Louisa Hicks Seeley

Mrs. Louisa Hicks Seeley, wife of Harmon J. Seeley, died Wednesday, February 15, 1911, at her home in Mallet Creek, after an illness which had extended over a considerable period, she having been gradually failing for about nine months. Mrs. Seeley was born on July 14, 1846, and was therefore past 64 years of age. Her parents were Flavius and Jane Hicks, who lived in Summit County, before moving to Medina County. When 25 years of age she married David O. Seeley, and moved to Mallet Creek. Mr. Seeley died about 13 years ago, and later the widow married Harmon J. Seeley, who survives her. She was the mother of five children, one of whom, Ruby, died in infancy. The children surviving her are Mrs. Pearl Pierce of Lorain, Bayard, Mrs. Reta Burrer of Litchfield and Earl. She leaves three grandchildren. The funeral services will take place at 1 o'clock Saturday afternoon, Feb. 18, at the Congregational church, Mallet Creek, to be conducted by Rev. Phillips. The burial will be at Mallet Creek.
